Lausanne and the Great St Bernard Pass to Lucca

 

“Walking the Via Francigena pilgrim route – Part 2 Lausanne and the Great St Bernard Pass to Lucca” is the Guidebook in English of the Via Francigena pilgrim route through Switzerland and Italy. From terraced vineyard above Switzerland’s Lake Genev the route crosses the mighty Apls at the fampus 2469m Great Saint bernrd Pass and Headss along Italy’s stunning Aosta Valley.

Arriving to the fertile Po River Valley then crossing the chamerming cities of Vercelli, Pavia and Piacenza. Then the route climbs into the mountains once more to cross the Apennines via densely forested Cisa Pass before a descent with sweeping vistas into Tuscany and Lucca.

This Guidebook is suitable for walkers of average fitness and gives also useful information about pilgrim accomodation and facilities.
